Privacy Policy
savvio · Effective date: March 14, 2026 · Last updated: March 14, 2026
1. Introduction
This agreement is between you and takbraun-tech LLC, a limited liability company registered in North Carolina, USA. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina and the federal laws of the United States.
savvio (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a knowledge extraction tool that helps you turn content — images, PDFs, and videos — into structured mind maps and actionable plans. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Important: Your uploaded content is processed on-device where technically possible. However, to generate AI analysis (mind maps, summaries, action plans), your content is sent to third-party AI providers over an encrypted connection. This is described in detail in Section 4 below.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Uploaded content: Images, PDF documents, and video files you choose to add to the app. This content is stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage.
- Extracted text and transcripts: Text extracted from your documents or audio transcribed from your videos. This text is used as input for AI analysis.
- AI-generated analysis: Summaries, mind maps, topic lists, and action plans generated by AI providers based on your content.
- Subscription status: Whether you have an active savvio Pro subscription, verified via RevenueCat using your App Store receipt. We do not access your Apple ID or payment details.
- App usage data: Item processing counts used solely to enforce free-tier limits (stored locally on-device).
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information unless you contact us directly.
3. How We Use Your Information
- AI analysis: Extracted text and transcripts are transmitted to third-party AI providers to generate mind maps, summaries, and action plans.
- Video transcription: For Pro subscribers, video audio is sent to third-party transcription services for speech-to-text conversion before AI analysis.
- Subscription verification: Your App Store receipt is sent to RevenueCat to verify your subscription entitlement and determine which features you can access.
- App functionality: Locally stored data (content, analysis results, usage counters) is used solely to provide app features on your device.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app as described above.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide our core functionality, savvio integrates with specialized third-party service providers. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to perform its function.
4.1 AI Data Processors (LLMs)
To generate knowledge maps, summaries, and action plans, savvio transmits user-provided content (such as extracted text from PDFs, images, or audio transcripts) to third-party Large Language Model (LLM) providers over encrypted connections.
Consent: By using the app's AI features, you acknowledge and consent to the transmission of your content to these external providers.
Liability Disclaimer: While takbraun-tech LLC seeks to work with providers that maintain high standards of data protection, we do not control their internal data retention, processing, or model-training policies. We disclaim any liability for the data handling practices of these third-party AI services.
Flexibility: We reserve the right to change, add, or remove AI infrastructure and providers at any time without prior notice to optimize performance and privacy.
4.2 Subscription Management
We use third-party services to manage subscriptions and verify your access to Pro features.
Data Shared: These providers receive your App Store or Google Play purchase receipt data and a pseudonymous device-level identifier to verify entitlements.
Data Exclusion: Subscription management providers do not receive, access, or store any of your uploaded content, extracted text, or AI-generated analysis.
4.3 Cloud Infrastructure
We utilize secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure to manage the internal routing of data and AI requests via encrypted edge functions.
Data Handling: While your analysis requests may pass through these secure functions during processing, our infrastructure providers do not persistently store your uploaded content or AI-generated results on their servers. All data is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connections.
Security: We do not disclose the specific providers of our backend infrastructure to maintain the security and integrity of the service.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Your uploaded content, extracted text, and AI-generated results are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. There is no cloud sync and no server-side storage of your content. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Data transmitted to third-party AI providers for processing is subject to each provider's respective terms and privacy policies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Your data is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 4, strictly for the purposes described.
We may disclose information if required by law, a court order, or a government authority, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of takbraun-tech LLC, app users, or the public.
7. International Data Transfers
takbraun-tech LLC is based in North Carolina, USA. Third-party providers may operate servers in various locations. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your data to these providers.
8. Your Rights
Because most data is stored only on your device, you can exercise the right of erasure by simply deleting the app or the relevant content items. For data held by third-party AI providers, please contact those providers directly per their respective privacy policies.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may also have additional rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise any rights, contact us at contact@savvio.us.
9. Children's Privacy and Service Restrictions
Not Directed at Minors: savvio is a productivity tool designed for adults and general audiences. It is not intended for, marketed to, or directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). takbraun-tech LLC does not knowingly collect, store, or solicit any personal information, age data, or demographics from users.
Parental Responsibility: We do not implement age-verification filters. It is the sole responsibility of parents or legal guardians to monitor their children's device usage and the applications they install. takbraun-tech LLC is not liable for any unauthorized use of the app by minors.
Inadvertent Data: Because we do not require user accounts or registration, we have no way to identify the age of an individual user. However, if you are a parent and believe that your child has uploaded content (such as photos or documents) containing personal data to our service, you may contact us at contact@savvio.us so we can coordinate the deletion of such content from our temporary processing logs.
10. AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Content generated within the app — including summaries, mind maps, topic extractions, and action plans — is produced by third-party artificial intelligence models. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. It is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
